To filter Multiple Values in Salesforce Lightning, log in to your Salesforce account and follow the below steps.

1. After logging in to Salesforce org, you will see the Home Page; on the Hope page, click on the Home tab, and then you will see the App Launcher option; click on App Launcher. In the search box Search the Report, and click on Report option.

2. To create the new report there is a Button in the right corner, click on the New Report button.

3. Now, you need to select the Object to create the report. To select the object you will see the Category option on the left side of the screen in that you need to click All option and Search for the Opportunities object. Then click on the Start Report button.

4. Now follow the below steps to apply a multiple-value filter

  • Click on the Filter option. -> Then, you need to select based on which field you want to filter records. Here, I have selected the Billing State/Province.
  • Here, you need to select equals Operator because we want to filter the values that match with our text.
  • As we are using a multiple value filter, we want to filter more than one value so that we can add multiple values with comma separation. Here, I have entered TX, IL, and NY.
  • Then click on the Apply button.

5. You can see in the result in Billing State/Province only those values displayed that we have searched.

How to Filter Multiple Values in Salesforce Classic

Example –

let’s take an example of the Lead Object. You want to display some values from the Title Field, like SVP, Administration, CFO, VP, and Technology. Then, for the multiple values, we can use the search multiple value filter to filter the records in the Salesforce Classic report.

Using the following steps we will implement the above example and will see how to filter multiple values.

1. In Salesforce Classic, on the Setup page, you will see the + Plus icon in the right corner; click on that icon. As you click on the + Plus icon, you will see All Tabs displayed on your screen. From these Tabs, click on the Report Tab.

2. To create a new report, click on the New Report button.

3. Then you need to Search or you can select the Object that you want to create a Report. Here, I have selected Leads Object and then clicked on the Create button.

4. Here, we need to apply the filter for that; click on the Filter option.

  • Select the Field to filter the values; here, I have selected the Title field. Select equals Operator to compare values.
  • Then, enter the values that you want to filter. Here I have entered “SVP, Administration”, CFO, “VP, Technology”.
  • Click on the OK button.
