Salesforce is the leading CRM worldwide, providing a cloud-based solution for various business needs in automotive, communications, consumer goods, education, and other industries.
Salesforce Developer Org is a platform for developers to create, test, and deploy applications using Salesforce. It provides a complete set of tools for building and customizing applications within the Salesforce environment.
Salesforce offers a free developer edition, where you can start building on Salesforce for free and access development environments for a range of platforms within the Salesforce ecosystem.
In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a free Salesforce Developer org.
Create a free Developer Org in Salesforce
Salesforce offers a free development edition to encourage Salesforce development. If you are a student or developer, you can familiarize yourself with the interface and functionality of Salesforce through the developer edition.
The developer edition of Salesforce provides limited features and resources, but it is sufficient to learn Salesforce development and administration.
Now, follow the below steps to create a free Salesforce developer org.
1. Visit the official Salesforce Trials Page, then on the home page of the Salesforce Developer Edition window, click on the button Sign Up for the Salesforce Developer Edition.
2. Fill out the form and click the submit button. If the username is not available, you may get an error. If that is so, change the username and try again.
Here is the list of details we filled in the form:-
- First Name – Your First name and middle name (if applicable)
- Last Name – Your surname or last name
- Email – You can use any email (regular or company email) to register for a Salesforce developer account.
- Role – Select your role in the company from the dropdown.
- Company name – Mention the company name, and based upon this name, the URL of the salesforce dashboard will be created.
- Country/Region – Select the country name from the dropdown.
- Postal code – The postal code for the city.
- Username – Provide the unique username that is available from Salesforce. The standard username is name@company.com

3. After submitting the form, you must verify your account by visiting your registered email and clicking the blue Verify Account button.

The screenshot below shows the email received on the registered email address. Click on the Verify Account button to access the dashboard of the Salesforce developer edition.

4. Create a new password for the account. Also, select the security question of choice and answer it.
The Salesforce Developer Edition minimum standard requires a password of eight characters, one letter, and one number.
At last, click on the Change Password button.

As we click the Change Password button, the password will be set for the developer account, and you will be redirected to the Salesforce developer console.

You can create a free Salesforce developer org account by following the above steps.
Conclusion
Creating a free account for Salesforce Developer.org allows you to access a fully functional Salesforce development environment to develop and customize apps, pages, and automation at no cost.
I hope you can create a free account in Salesforce by following the above steps. If you are facing any issues setting up the free Salesforce developer org, feel free to comment.
