Create Chatter Streams in Salesforce for Better Collaboration

While working as a Salesforce Admin, the sales manager wants the sales team to stay updated on important Account and Opportunity changes without having to open each record individually.

To solve this, I create Chatter Streams that automatically show updates when an Opportunity stage changes, a comment is added on an Account, or a sales user posts an update.

With Chatter Streams, the sales team can see all important updates in one place, respond quickly, and avoid missing critical information.

In this article, we will learn how to create chatter streams in Salesforce. Along with this, we are going to cover the following points in this tutorial.

  • Chatter Streams in Salesforce.
  • Create a Chatter Stream from the Chatter Home page in Salesforce.
  • Create a Chatter Stream from a Profile or Record Detail in Salesforce.
  • Create a Chatter Stream from Salesforce Contacts.

What are Chatter Streams in Salesforce?

In Salesforce, Chatter streams are custom feeds created by combining multiple related feeds into a single feed. We can view and access Chatter streams from the Chatter Home Page.

In Salesforce, we can create up to 100 streams, each combining posts from up to 25 different feeds and feed types. In Salesforce, we generally create streams to combine feeds for people, groups, and records such as accounts, opportunities, and cases.

In the steps below, I will explain how I handled this situation and created Chatter streams for different accounts in Salesforce.
