My Personal Document in Salesforce
Salesforce provides users with the facility to store their personal files and documents personally in the “My Personal Documents” workspace.
“My Personal Documents” is a private document library and only the user who uploaded the files in it is allowed to access it. We can store different types of files such as images, presentations, spreadsheets, etc.
In addition to this, we can also use the “My Personal Documents” library for sharing personal files, attaching various files to records, ensuring the updated document is uploaded, etc.
Basically, it is the personal document library that is used by Salesforce users, to store their personal files separated from their business files.
Moreover, the user is able to use all the uploaded files and documents in the “My Personal Documents” library in various records such as accounts, opportunities, letterhead, email templates, cases, etc.
So, we can conclude that “My Personal Document” is the salesforce feature that allows user to save their personal files and documents securely.

How to upload to “My Personal Documents” in Salesforce Classic
Here, are the steps to upload to “My Personal Documents” in Salesforce Classic Component.
Step 1: First, we need to log in to Salesforce Classic. For this, click on “Avatar” and select “Switch to Salesforce Classic”.

Step 2: Click on the “Plus Icon” (➕) in the top tab bar of the screen to upload the document to the personal document.

Step 3: Search and Select the “Documents” tab from the list of tabs.

Step 4: Click on the “New” button to upload new personal files and documents.

Step 5: Enter the “Document Name” and the “Document Unique Name” is populated automatically. Here, I enter the document name as “Tsinfo Logo”.
Step 6: To make the file and document visible in the various records check the checkbox next to “Externally Available Image”.
Step 7: If we want to make the documents internally available and don’t want to share it check the checkbox next to “Indicate Document is Internal”.
Step 8: We can also add the “Description” and “Keywords” related to the document or file.
Step 9: Now, select the file that we want to upload by “Choose File”. Or we can also create the reference link to the file in the “Path/URL to reference”. Here, I choose a file named “logo.jpg”.
Step 10: To finally save the document in the “My Personal Documents”, click on the “Save” button.
Step 11: If we want to cancel the in-progress upload process, click on the “Cancel” button.

Step 12: Here, is the look of the document after the process of uploading.
With this, we have successfully uploaded personal files and documents in My Personal Documents in Salesforce Classic.
