So, in this Salesforce tutorial, we will discuss how to enable or add the New button to Campaign object in Salesforce.

New button missing on Campaigns in Salesforce– Reasons

Now, before we jump to the steps and undergo the solution to solve this issue. We will understand the reasons why the New button is missing from Salesforce Campaigns object.

Reason-1: Permissions Issue

  • This issue usually occurs when the user does not have Marketing Users permission in Salesforce.
  • The Marketing Users permissions include various permissions that a user might need to execute marketing-related tasks.
  • These permissions typically include creating email templates, managing leads, and even campaigns.

So, if the user does not have the Marketing User permission, the New button will not appear for that user. Because that user does not have proper permissions to create campaigns in Salesforce.

Reason-2: Page Layout Configuration

  • Now, even if the user accessing the Campaigns object has the Marketing Users permission.
  • However, still, the New button is not appearing, which means that there is a Page Layout Configuration issue.
  • So, other than the Marketing Users permission, we also need to make sure that the New button is added to the Page Layouts of Campaigns object.
