How to Add Custom Links in Salesforce
Here, we are adding a custom link in Salesforce. Here are the following steps.
1. Click on the Gear Icon –> Select the Setup option –> Click on the Object Manager tab.

2. Enter the USA Student in the search box and then select the USA Student object from the Object Manger page.

3. The USA student page is open. Click on the Buttons, links, and action option that is present under the details in the left sidebar.

4. The USA student page is open there is a new button or link option. Click on the new button or link option.

5. The new action page is open. Fill in all the information carefully. Firstly, fill the label as Details on Google and the fill name and then select the display type as Detail Page Link for creating the custom link.
After that, select the behavior as Display in a new window and then select the content source as URL.

6. Now select the field type as USA student, then insert the field and create the URL that will send us to Google and search for the related information. After writing the formula, click on the check syntax option. If there is no error in the formula, then click on the save option.

7. The Details on Google custom Button or link detail is created. We can edit and delete, and where this option is present on this detailed Google page. After that, select the page layouts option that is present under the details in the left sidebar.

8. The Page layout page is open; click on the USA student layout option.

9. Click on the custom link option then enter the Details on Google in the quick find box and drag the Detail on Google option.

10. After dragging the Details on Google, drop them into the custom link section, and then click on the save option.

11. Go to App Launcher and enter USA Student in the search box. The USA Student page is open; select the record under the object. The record page is open.
Click on the details, and under the details; the USA student details are present. At the bottom of the page, there is a Detail on Google link present; click on it.

11. After clicking on the Details on Google link, which is a custom link, you will be redirected to google.com. If you want to leave this page, click on the left button.

12. After clicking on the left button, the related information related to the Kendrick Morissette record is searched on Google.
So this way, we can create a custom link in Salesforce and place those links on our record pages, and we can also connect another source with this link.
