Below are the steps to send email in Salesforce using quick action.

Step-1: Navigate to the Setup, click on the App Launcher, and search for the Object whose record you want to send email.

You can directly click on the Obejct from the Nav Bar whose record you want to send email. For example, I want to send email to Contacts.

Step-2: Select the Contact to whom you want to send an email. Here, I select Edna Frank.

Step-3: It will redirect you to the detail page of the content. Then, move to the Activity section and click on the Send Email quick action button.

Step-4: It will open up the pop-up window to compose the email that you want to send. Here, From and To are automatically filled. The BCC is also already filled if you set it in the setting of the email.

You need to enter the Subject of an email and then enter the Content of the email. You can also change the Font, Size, Alignment, etc of the email. Even you can add the Attachment to an email.

After that, click on the Send button.

Once the email is sent, the email is visible in the Upcoming and Overdue section. From here you can check the status of the email, such as unopened or opened.

The following are the steps to add the send email quick action button in Salesforce.

Step-1: Navigate to the Setup in Salesforce and click on the Object Manager option given on Nav Bar.

Step-2: Select the Object on which you want to add the Send Email Quick Action. For example, here, I select the Contact object.

After that, click on the Buttons, Links, and Actions option that is present under the details in the left sidebar.

Step-3: Click on the New Action button on the top to create a quick action button.

Step-4: Choose the Action Type as Send Email and then enter the name for the quick action that is used to send email in the Label field and the Name field will get automatically filled up.

After that, click on the Save button.

Step-5: Next, choose the email fields; some of the standard fields are already set on the default form. You can add and remove the more outgoing email fields if you want, and then, to save, click on the Save button.

Step-6: Once the quick action button is created, then you need to add it to the specific page layout of the object. So, click on the Page Layouts option from the left sidebar.

Then, choose the page layout on which you want to add the button. For example, I choose the Contact Layout.

Step-7: Click on the Mobile & Lightning Actions, then enter the Send Email to Contact in the Quick Find box. After that, drag the Send email to contact and drop it into the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.

Then click on the Save button.

You can open the specific contact and move to its detail page. Here, you can see the Quick Action button Send email to contact under the Activity tab.

Click on the button, compose the email, and send it.
