Events are very important, and humans can’t remember all of them. But there is no need to worry while working in Salesforce, as it provides us with a feature to create events.
In this Salesforce tutorial, we will discuss event in Salesforce Lightning. We will also learn how to show these events in the Salesforce Calendar.
What are events
Events are something that occurs, particularly something significant or uncommon. But in Salesforce, events are meetings with a beginning date, a beginning time, an ending date, and an ending time.
They enable you to schedule meetings for the accounts, deals, or initiatives you are in charge of.

How to Create an Event in Salesforce Lightning
There are two ways to create an event in Salesforce Lightning: via the activity section or directly from the calendar. Let’s explore each in more detail.
Create a Salesforce Event Report using Activity
Follow the steps below to create an event using the activity section.
1. Click on Setup and select any App. Here, I select Community App.

2. Now, look at the tabs and select Contacts.

3. Select the Name to whom you want to create an event. Here, I select Jackbon Jim.

4. Now, on the left hand, under the Activity Section, we have a New Event symbol. Click on it.

5. Enter the event’s subject and then enter the event’s start date and time. Provide the event’s finish date and time. Check to see if the contact’s name is already filled in if the user is listed on the contact record. Provide the account to which the contact is connected.
Verify that the user has been assigned the assignment (because I am the currently logged-in user, this is me). Specify where the meeting will take place. Save the record.

6. After doing this, you’ll see that the event now shows up in the activity section.

Note: The event will automatically transfer to the Past Activities section once the meeting date has passed.
You can also view the above-created event in the calendar.
1. Click on Setup, then on View All.

2. Then, from All Items, select Calendar.

3. It will open the Calendar. Now you can view that on 25 Feb at 11:00 AM, the event of Website Creation is visible.

With this, we have learned to create an event using the activity section using salesforce lightning.

1. Click on Setup, then on View All.

2. Then, from All Items, select Calendar.

3. It will open the Calendar. Now, select the date from the calendar. Here, I select 3 March. Then, select the time. Here, I select 2 PM, and it successfully opens the pop-up to enter the details of the events.

4. Verify that the user has been assigned the assignment (because I am the currently logged-in user, this is me). Specify where the meeting will take place. Enter the event’s subject here. Enter the event’s start date and time.
Check to see if the contact’s name is already filled in if the user is listed on the contact record. Provide the event’s finish date and time. Provide the account to which the contact is connected. Enter the description of the event. Save the record.
