What is Activity History
In Salesforce the activity history is placed under the related list on the page layout. It permits the users to log a call or send an email and a link list shows the records made by the users.
Some of the objects like cases in Salesforce provide the activity history section by default. When the user visits the lightning pages for the case object they can see that the activity history section is present they don’t need to enable the section from the related list.
But other objects like accounts, opportunity, contact, and leads can not have the activity history section by default on the standard lightning page.
