While working as a Salesforce Admin, I faced an issue where different users were seeing different record pages for the campaign object.
Some users are seeing the new record page I created, but others are still seeing the old page layout. This created confusion because everyone should get the same page design.
To understand why users are seeing a different record page for the same object, I need to check which Lightning Record Page assignment is assigned to each user.
In this article, we will learn how to check record page assignments in Salesforce so that we can easily identify which lightning record page is assigned to different profiles, apps, and record types.
Check Record Page Assignments in Salesforce
To view record pages assignments in Salesforce, we need to log in to the Salesforce account first and then follow the steps below.
- On the Salesforce Setup page, click on the Object Manager tab, as shown in the picture below.

- In the Object Manager, select the object for which you want to check the record page assignment. In my case, the Campaign object already has a custom record page.

- In this step, go to the Details sidebar and click on Lightning Record Pages.

- In the Lightning Record Pages section, click on the View Page Assignments button located on the upper-right side of the screen.

- In this step, go to the Look Up an Assignment section. Under the label App, click on Select an App and choose the application from the dropdown. In this example, I selected the Sales Tech App.

- After selecting the app, go to the Profile tab and choose the profile. I have selected the Analytics Cloud Security User profile. Finally, click on the Find Page button.

- When we click on Find Page, we can see which profile and app are assigned to the selected Lightning Record Page. This example shows the Campaign Record Page.
- If it displays System Default instead, it means this record page is not specifically assigned to that app.

In this way, we can check the assignments of lightning record pages in Salesforce.
