In Salesforce, Lighting App pages are created and customized with the help of Lightning App Builder to enhance user productivity by customizing the layout and content to the business requirements. Types of Lightning App Pages include app pages, home pages, record pages, and embedded service pages.

The Lighting app page improves the user experience by providing quick access to relevant tools and information, which includes components, dashboards, charts, tabs, and custom record views.

Create a Salesforce Lightning App Page

To create a Lightning App page, navigate to Salesforce Lightning’s Setup page and follow the below steps.

1. On Salesforce Lightning’s Setup page, go to the Quick Find box, search, and select Lightning App Builder.

2. In the Lightning App Builder, click on the New button.

3. Select the option App Page nad click on the Next button.

4. Enter the Label for the custom app page, and click the Next button.

5. Select the template format and click the Done button.

6. To populate the app page template region, drag and drop the components to the template region.

7. We can also add the visibility on the components, select the component, and go to the Set component visibility on the right-hand side.

Click the Add Filter button and select the Field, Operator, and Value to define the filter condition. After adding the component visibility, click the Done button.

Activate the Salesforce Lightning App Page

To activate the lighting app page, click the Activate button in the Lightning App builder.

Then, in the activation window, click on the Activate button.

In the Activation window, go to Page settings, where we can also change the App page icon.

For the App Page Permissions, go to the section Page Action; here, we can manage the tab visibility of the app page, making it visible for Admins only or for all users.

Assign Salesforce Lightning App Page to applications

In the Lightning Experience tab, select the app in which you have to assign or deploy this app page, then click on the button Add page to app.

To make this app page visible on mobile applications, click the Mobile Navigation tab, click on Mobile Navigation Menu, and click Add page to app.

At last, click the Save button.

As we click on the Save button, the App page will be activated and deployed in the selected application.

Click the Save button in the Lightning App Builder.

Create a Custom Lightning app page in Salesforce

To view the custom app page, navigate to the application in which you have deployed this app page, and there in the tabs the app page will be visible.

We can later add or remove tabs with the lightning app builder to this Custom App Page.
