In this Salesforce tutorial, we are going to learn how to create a user call activity report in Salesforce. We will understand the uses of this report and also discuss the method of creating this report in Salesforce Lightning and Salesforce Classic edition.
While working as a System administrator for an organization that uses Salesforce as its Primary CRM tool, I was assigned the task of creating a User Call Activities report so that the organization can track the record of users’ call activities.
In that situation, I created this custom report with the help of applying some filters and also adding some additional filters to get the records of user call activities.
User Call Activity Report in Salesforce
In Salesforce, the User Call Activity Report is created with the data of Activities and specifically Tasks and Events. This report gives the track of all call activities performed by the users in the organization.
Specifically, this report involves activities related to phone calls. In Salesforce, users can log information about phone calls they make or receive, including details such as the date, time, duration, and associated contacts or leads.
In the below example, I will explain the method of creating a User Call Activity report with the help of a couple of examples in Salesforce Lightning and Classic respectively.

2. In the Reports window, click on the New Report button.

3. In this step, select the report Category as Activities and Report type as Tasks and Events, then click on the button Start Report.

4. In this Step, we will apply filters to this report to generate records of user call activity. Click on the Filters tab and apply the following filters.
- In the Show Me field, select the option All Activities and click on the Done button.
- In the Date field, select the range for the records to display in the report.
- There will be two Show fields, select Completed Activities in the first one and select Tasks option in the second Show field.

You can drag these columns to the group rows section or search and then select them from the Group row search bar.

8. In the report table, click on the Date dropdown and select Group Date by -> Calendar week.

9. For a better visual representation of Call records add a chart to this report and to do that click on the chart button.

10. Click on the Save and Run button to save this report.

11. In this window, enter the required details to save this report.
- In the Report name field, enter the relevant label for the report. For example, I have entered the report name as User Calls Report.
