In Salesforce, a Contacts Tab represents the people linked with business accounts in your organization. I need the List View to filter down the contact record in both lightning and classic edition.

How to create contact List View in Salesforce Lightning
If you want to learn how to create a custom list view for contact follow these steps:-
Step 1: Click on App Launcher, find and select any app of your choice. I select Service App.

Step 2: As we want to create a list view for contacts, select the Contacts tab.
Step 3: Click on the Gear Icon and select New.

Step 4: On the next screen, enter the List Name. I named them New York Billing City View. And the API Name is automatically set based on your list view name.
Step 5: Set the sharing settings for the list view. Here, I set it to All Users. And click on the Save button.
Step 6: Set the filter for the list view by clicking on Add Filter. Here, I want to filter the Contacts based on their Billing City.

Step 7: Specify Filter Criteria. Here, I select the Field as Billing City, Operator as equals, and Value as New York. And then click on Done.

Step 8: Now, click on Save.

Step 9: It has successfully created a list view name New York Billing City View. To activate it select the list view dropdown arrow, and select New York Billing City View.

Step 10: It will successfully show all the Contacts with Billing City as New York.

Above, we successfully created a contact List View in salesforce lightning. But now I want to make some changes to it. So for this, I have to edit this view.
If you want to learn how to edit a custom list view for contact follow these steps:-
Step 1: Click on App Launcher, find and select any app of your choice. I select Service App.

Step 2: As we want to edit a list view for contacts, select the Contacts tab. Next, select the List View that you want to edit from the drop-down list (⬇). Here, I select the New York Billing City.
Step 3: Click on the Gear icon (âš™) and select the Edit List Filters. Now, I want to add one more filter which is Salutation must be Mr. And lastly click on Save.

Step 4: It has successfully edited the contact List View to New York Billing City. Now, pick the revised list view from the dropdown and it shows all the contacts related to Account: Billing City New York and Salutation Mr.

Suppose I have a List View for contacts in the salesforce lightning but now I don’t want it anymore. So for this, I have to delete this view.

Step 1: Click on App Launcher, find and select any app of your choice. I select Service App.

Step 2: As we want to delete a list view for contacts, select the Contacts tab. Next, select the List View that you want to delete from the drop-down list (⬇). Here, I select the New York Billing City.
Step 3: Now, click on Delete and then click on OK for confirmation of the deletion process.

Step 3: It will display all the tabs of the Service app. Choose the specific tab from the list on which you want to perform some action. Here, I choose Contacts.

Step 4: Click on Create New View to create a custom list view. Next, enter view name, specify filter criteria, select fields to display, and restrict visibility.
Here, I create List View named USA Country that will filter out contacts that have Account: Billing Country equal to USA.

Step 5: It will successfully show all the Contacts with Billing Country as USA.
