Salesforce Lightning Log a Call button missing
Recently, when I was working on the Salesforce lightning experience, I faced an issue. In this issue, the Salesforce Lightning log a call button is missing from the Activity tab.
Here is the sample screenshot where the log a call is not visible in Salesforce Lightning.

Add Log a Call in Activity Salesforce Lightning
1. Click on the “Gear” icon and select the “Setup” option to navigate to the Lightning setup.

2. Click on the “Object Manager” option. Choose the “Object” on which page you want to add log a call in activity Salesforce.
However, when I tried to access the records of the accounts object in Salesforce Lightning, the log a call button was missing from the activity component.
Let’s take an example of the “Accounts” object.

3. From the leftside menu, you need to click on the “Page Layout” option.

4. From the page layouts list, select the relevant “Page Layout” according to the requirement.
For example, I opened the “Account Layout” option. This will open the page layout page for the account objects

5. Go to the “Mobile & Lightning Actions” section. Drag the log a call button from there to the “Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions” tab.

Now, let us look at the “Account” object page for any of the records. This time, you can find that the “Log a Call” is visible under the “Activity” section of the Salesforce Lightning.
