For resetting the user password, the user must log in to the salesforce with the access of the administrator and click on the profile picture under the profile picture there is a setting option. Click on the setting and then click on the Change my password option and set the new password that you want to create.
After entering the new password the password will be changed and our old password is reset to the new password. After the password will resent notification will come that informs the user that the password has been reset. This password will be needed when the user login into the salesforce account.

1: First, login into the Salesforce account, Click on the profile picture. After clicking on the profile picture the drop-down list is open then select the settings option under the drop-down list.

2: After clicking on the setting option that is present under the profile picture. The Personal Information page is open where the details are present. Here we want to reset the user password.
Click on the Change my password that is present under the My Personal Information at the left sidebar.

3: After clicking on the Change My Password option, the change my password page is open. First, enter the current password then enter the new password, for the new password we make sure that the user password is strong and secure.
The password may include at least 8 characters, 1 letter, and 1 number. After matching the criteria the new password will be generated successfully.

4: After entering the new password, there is a security question. Choose the security question and then enter the answer related to the question.
This security question is tied to our password and subject to any password policies your administrators have configured. Whenever your password is reset, your security token is also reset.
After answering the security question, now click on the save button that is present at the end of the change my password page.

5: After clicking on the save button, the password that we reset is saved, and the message pop-up at the change my password page.

Here we are resetting the user password in Salesforce Classic. If you want to learn how to reset the user password in Salesforce Classic follow these steps:
Step-1: First log in to the Salesforce account, when we log in to the account the Salesforce lightning edition is open. Moving to Salesforce Classic, click on the Profile picture. The Profile picture drop-down list is open. Under this profile picture list, there is an option to switch to Salesforce Classic. Click on it.
After clicking on the switch to Salesforce Classic option, click on the drop-down arrow of the username. The drop-down list is open, under this list Setup option is present below the My Profile option. Click on the Setup.

Step-2: After clicking on the setup option, the setup page is open. Enter the change my password in the Quick Find Box and the change my password comes at the top. Click on the change my password. And these change in my password are present under the personal setup.

Step-3: After clicking on the Change My Password option, the change my password page is open. First, enter the current password then enter the new password, for the new password we make sure that the user password is strong and secure.
