What is the lightning dashboard component in Salesforce?

In the lightning table dashboard component, we can create a dashboard with tabular and grouped reports. We can also show fields with grouping on the homepage, so users can easily see the data of records.

The following are the uses of a Lightning Table dashboard:

  • The Lightning Table dashboard components use the objects, fields and the filter which we have applied in the source report.
  • In the Lightning Table dashboard components, we can create groups; hence, we can easily understand the variation of data.
  • This component provides a user-friendly way to view and compare the data.
  • The Lightning Table dashboard components are easy-to-understand ways to represent data.

Important:

The only Lightning Table Dashboard Component can be created using the tabular report and summary or matrix report. We cannot create other dashboard components using the tabular report.

We must need to sort the records by any field and set the row count while creating the tabular report, and we also need to set up the dashboard settings.
