How to use Classic Email Template in Salesforce Lightning
If you want to use a built-in classic email template in salesforce lightning, follow the below-given steps.
Step 1: Search the email template in the Quick Find box.
Step 2: Select the Classic Email Templates.

Step 3: From the list of built-in classic email templates, select the one that you want. Here, I select Sales: New Customer Email.

Step 4: Once you open this template, you will get the Email Template Detail.
The Email Templates from Salesforce specify the name of the folder in which the template is saved, Email Template Name specifies the name of the template, Template Unique Name is automatically set based on the template name, and Available For Use specifies whether this template is available for use or not.

Step 5: If you want to attach some attachments with an email, click on Attach File and choose the document using Choose File, attach it using Attach File, and return to the previous page by clicking on Done.
Step 6: Click on Send Test and Verify Merge Fields.

Step 7: It will open the new pop window, now set the Recipient Record and Related To Record.
Here, I set the recipient record to contact and using the lookup select the specific contact. Then, I set related to record to the account and using the lookup select the specific account.
The Contact.FirstName field data is extracted from the Contact First Name record, Account.Name field data is extracted from the Account Name record and User.Name field data is extracted from the Salesforce User Name.
Step 8: If you want to send an email preview to the salesforce user email account, tick the checkbox.
Step 9: Finally, click on OK.

Step 10: If you want to view how the email looks at the client’s end simply open your preview email address and check the mail or you can also preview it on the Salesforce Classic Email Template screen.

If you want to use a built-in classic email template in salesforce classic, follow the below-given steps.
Step 1: Click on avatar and select Switch to Salesforce Classic.

Step 2: Click on Setup.

Step 3: Search the email template in the Quick Find box.
Step 4: Select Classic Email Templates under Communication Templates.

Step 5: Choose the desired template from the list of built-in classic email templates. I select Marketing: Product Inquiry Response here.

Step 6: Immediately you open the template, you will see the email Template Detail.
The Email Templates from Salesforce specify the name of the folder where the template is saved, the Email Template Name is the template’s name, Template Unique Name is automatically generated based on the template name, and Available For Use checks whether or not the template is useable.

Step 7: If you desire to send an email with some attachments, click Attach File, select the file with Choose File, add the file with Attach File, and then click Done to go back to the previous page.

Step 7: Click Send Test and Verify Merge Fields menu.

Step 8: It will open the new pop window, now set the Recipient Record and Related To Record.
Here, I set the recipient record to leads and using the lookup select the specific lead. Because the Lead.Name field data is extracted from the lead’s name record.
Step 9: Tick the checkbox if you wish to send an email preview to the salesforce user’s email address.
Step 10: Lastly, click OK.

Step 11: If you want to view how the email looks at the client’s end simply open your preview email address and check the mail or you can preview it on the Salesforce Classic Email Template screen.
