Here we using the previously created object as a case in which we are creating a website documentation field and we are using the URL field type for this field and under this URL field there is a required checkbox for making the field required.

Step-1: To make the URL field type require we first login to the Salesforce account, when our Salesforce account opens, we directly enter the Salesforce Lightning account. Click on the Gear icon(⚙️). Under this gear icon, there are two options. The first one is Setup and another one is Service Setup.
Click on the Setup option, after clicking on the Setup option. The setup page is open. Under this setup page, there is an Object Manager tab that is present in the nave bar. Click on the object manager tab.

Step-2: After clicking on the Object Manager tab, the object manager tab is open. Under this tab lots of objects are present. Here we are selecting one of the objects, for choosing the object search the object by simply entering the object in the search box.
Here we are searching for the case object by simply entering the case in the search box. And the case object comes at the top. Click on the case object.

Step-3: After clicking on the case object, the case object page is open. Under this case object there is a field and relationship object that is present at the left side of the case page below the details section.

Step-4: After clicking on the field and relationship, the field and relationship page is open. On this page, there are lots of fields present.
Choose the field which is created by the URL field type. And we scroll to the bottom of the page and see the website documentation is created as URL type. Click on the Website Documentation.

Step-5: After clicking on the website documentation, the case custom field website documentation page is open.
Under this page, we see the Custom detail definition detail. And we want to edit this detail for making the field required. Click on the edit button that is present at the center of the page.

Step-6: After clicking on the edit button, the custom field definition edit page is open. Here we see the field information related to the custom field that is already completely fielded and after this field information there are general options and under this general option, there are required checkboxes.
To make the field required select the checkbox after clicking on the checkbox it always requires a value in the field in order to save a record. When a new case record is created it cannot be saved without this information being filled in or being populated.
After making the case field required once check the information is completed field and then click on the save button that is present at the center of the page.

How to make URL field type is required in Salesforce Classic
Here we are making the URL field type required in Salesforce Classic. Here we using the previously created object as a lead in which we are creating a Salesforce Link field and we are using the URL field type for this field and under this URL field there is a required checkbox for making the field required.
If you want to learn how to make the URL field type required in Salesforce Classic follow these steps:
1: When we Log in to the Salesforce account, we directly log in to the Salesforce lightning org. But we want to make the URL field require in Salesforce Classic. For switching to the Salesforce Classic. Go to the Profile picture, Click on the profile picture, and the drop-down menu under the profile picture is open. And under this profile picture, there is an option to switch to salesforce classic.
Click on the switch to the Salesforce classic option. We are moving to the Salesforce Classic version. Here we click on the username drop-down arrow, and the drop-down list is open under this drop-down arrow. Under this List, there is a setup option here, we are clicking on the setup option.

2: After clicking on the Setup option, the Setup page is open. Under this setup page, there is a Quick Find Box enter the Lead. There is App Setup, and under this App Setup, there is Customize option. Click on the drop-down arrow of the customize option.
After clicking on the Customize drop-down arrow, the drop-down list is open. Under this customize drop-down list there is a Lead object option. Click on the drop-down arrow of the lead object. The drop-down list is open, under this list there is a fields option. Click on the fields option.

3: After clicking on the lead object, the lead object page is open. Under this lead object, there is a Lead custom field and relationship section that is present at the bottom of the page. Under this lead custom field and relationship there is a Salesforce Link field.
This Salesforce Link is the URL field type. Click on the Salesforce Link.

4: After clicking on the Salesforce Link, the lead custom field Salesforce Link page is open.
Under this page, we see the Custom field detail definition detail. And we want to edit this detail for making the field required. Click on the edit button that is present at the center of the page.

5: After clicking on the edit button, the custom field definition edit page is open.
Here we see the field information related to the custom field that is already completely fielded and after this field information there are general options and under this general option, there are required checkboxes.
