Here, are the steps to reorder the picklist value in Salesforce Lightning:
Step 1: Log in to the Salesforce account and navigate to the “Setup” option located in the upper right corner of the page.

Step 2: Click on the “Object Manager” option located in the setup menu.

Step 3: Search and click on the object on which you want to rearrange the picklist field. Here, I click on “Account”.

Step 4: From the left side menu on the object management page, click on “Fields & Relationships”.
Step 5: Search and click on the picklist field you want to modify. Here, I click on “Ownership”.

Step 6: Scroll down to the “Account Ownership Picklist Values” section on the picklist field detail page.
Step 7: Click on the “Reorder” button to rearrange the order.

Step 8: Use the “Top”, “Up”, “Down”, and “Bottom” arrows to rearrange the values according to your requirement.
Step 9: Click on the “Save” button, after rearranging the picklist values.

Step 10: To check that the whether the picklist values have been reordered correctly, navigate to the item whose picklist values have been modified and check.

How to Reorder Picklist Value in Salesforce Classic
Here, are the steps to reorder the picklist value in Salesforce Classic:
Step 1: First, we need to log in to Salesforce Classic. For this, click on “Avatar” and select “Switch to Salesforce Classic”.

Step 2: After that, click on the “Setup” option.

Step 3: Now, scroll down to the “Build” section. Then under “Customize”, select the object for whom we want to reorder the picklist field with the default value. Here, I choose the “Contract” object.
Step 4: Click on the “Fields” option to create a new field in the selected object.

Step 5: Search and click on the picklist field you want to modify. Here, I click on “Contract Type”.

Step 6: Scroll down to the “Values” section on the picklist field detail page.
Step 7: Click on the “Reorder” button to rearrange the order.

Step 8: Use the “Top”, “Up”, “Down”, and “Bottom” arrows to rearrange the values according to your requirement.
Step 9: Click on the “Save” button, after rearranging the picklist values.

Step 10: To check that the whether the picklist values have been reordered correctly, navigate to the item whose picklist values have been modified and check.
