What do global picklist values mean
Salesforce provides us with the feature named “Global Picklist Values” which allows administrators to define the set of standardized values. We can share and use these values in multiple picklist fields of different objects.
In addition, global picklist values offer a centralized method for data standardization in contrast to normal picklist fields, which are particular to a single item.
Moreover, by creating a global value set, we can construct a standard set of alternatives that can be used across different fields throughout the Salesforce organization. It also ensures data entry consistency, minimizes errors, and supports data integrity.
Overall, Salesforce Global Picklist Values is a tool used to manage data, improve quality, and enhance user experience.
With this, we have understood what the global picklist value set means in Salesforce. Now, we will move ahead and learn the procedure to create a global picklist value set in Salesforce Lightning.
