While working with an organization that uses Salesforce, I got a task where I needed to create a login history list view in Salesforce. To fulfill this requirement I use the login history that is present under the Identity

Login history list view in Salesforce
The login history list view in Salesforce is defined as a method that permits the administrator to view and trace the login activities of the users and it also gives information about the user who logged in to the Salesforce account and tells when and where the user is logged in from.
It also tells the login detail of the users like the Login IP address, and login type, and also tells the login attempts like success or failure in login.
This login history list view gives the tabular view of the login records and it represents the login event for a particular user in every record. The login history list views also involve the columns like user name, Login time, source IP, Location, Login Type, Status, Browser, Platform, Application, etc.
In this login history list view the administrator can detect who can log in and also control the user security and detect any unsure login activities. This login history gives the tools for making sure the security and integrity of the salesforce platform within an organization.

1: Login into your Salesforce lightning account, Go to the gear icon. Under the gear icon, there are two options present first one is Setup and another one is Service Setup. Here we are clicking on the Setup option.

2: After clicking on the setup option, the setup page is open. Enter the login history in the Quick Find Box and the login history come at the top. Click on the login history. And this login history is present under the identity in the left sidebar.

3: After clicking on the login history option, the login history page is open. Here we can see the location and this location shows the approximate location of the IP address from where the user logged in.
Now click on the create new view button that is presented new the view icon and under the login history page.

4: After clicking on the click new view option, the create new view page is open. Here we can fill in the complete information related to the Login history list view. First, fill the view name and here we are filling the view name as login security.
After that fill the view unique name just by simply clicking on the field and the view unique name is automatically filled.
After that fill the security filter criteria, first select the field as login type, and then select the operator as equals after selecting the operator fill in the value for filling in the value click on the lookup icon.

5: After clicking on the lookup icon, the lookup page is open. Here we can see that lots of values are present, select one of the values and here we select the application and click on the insert selected button.

6: After specifying the filter criteria then select the fields to display. Here select the available fields and then click on the add button and the selected available fields are added to the selected fields. We can also move the name by simply clicking on the top, up, down, and bottom button.

7: After selecting the field to display and then restricting the visibility there are three options to restrict the visibility. Here we are selecting the visible only to me option after that click on the save option that is present at the bottom of the login history page.

8: After clicking on the save option, the login history list view is created successfully. This List view login security is shown under this Login history page.

How to create a login history list view in Salesforce Classic
Here we are creating a login history list view in Salesforce Classic. If you want to learn how to create the login history list view in Salesforce Classic follow these steps:
Step-1: First log in to the Salesforce account, when we log in to the account the Salesforce lightning edition is open. Moving to Salesforce Classic, click on the Profile picture. The Profile picture drop-down list is open. Under this profile picture list, there is an option to switch to Salesforce Classic. Click on it.
After clicking on the switch to Salesforce Classic option, click on the drop-down arrow of the username. The drop-down list is open, under this list Setup option is present below the My Profile option. Click on the Setup.

Step-2: After clicking on the setup option, the setup page is open. Enter the login history in the Quick Find Box and the login history come at the top. Click on the login history. And this login history is present under the identity in the left sidebar.

Step-3: After clicking on the login history option, the login history page is open. Here we can see the location and this location shows the approximate location of the IP address from where the user logged in.
