Here we are creating a follow-up task of logging a call in Salesforce Lightning. Follow-up tasks are the tasks that interact with people through emails, calls, letters, etc, and plan the next step. For example what next task they can do?

Follow-up tasks in Log A Call with people through emails, calls, letters, etc. Log A Call a record task is created with the active status when we click on the log a call icon and here we want to edit the created Log A Call follow-up task by simply clicking on the create follow-up task button.

Step-1: Login into the Salesforce account, and go to the App Launcher. Click on the App Launcher and enter the Sales in the search box, the sales option comes at the top. Click on it.

Step-2: After clicking on the sales, the sales page is open and under this sales page, lots of objects are present on the nav bar. Here we select the Contacts object. After selecting the contact object the contact’s recently viewed object page is open.

Here we can see that lots of contacts are present, select one of the contacts and here we are selecting Dr. Florian Fadel.

Step-3: After clicking on the Dr. Florian Fadel contact, the Dr. Florian Fadel page is open. Here we can see that the log a call is created that is present under the activity component and we want to create the follow-up task of this contact.

For creating the follow-up task from this log a call, click on the drop-down arrow of the call. After clicking on the drop-down arrow the drop-down list is open under this list there are lots of options present. Click on the Create follow-up task option.

Step-4: After clicking on the create follow-up task, the Follow Up dialogue box is open. Here we can fill the task information. First fill the Assigned to field and then select the status after that select the subject and then fill the Name.

Step-5: Now scroll to the bottom of the follow-up dialogue box page and fill the due date after that fill the related to field and then fill the priority after filling all the information click on the save button that is present at the bottom of the follow-up page.

Step-6: After clicking on the save button, the task call was created and the pop-up message is shown on the contact Dr. Florian Fadel page. Under the Log A Call we can see that a follow-up task is created successfully

1: First log in to the Salesforce account, when we log in to the account the Salesforce lightning edition is open. Moving to Salesforce Classic, click on the Profile picture. The Profile picture drop-down list is open. Under this profile picture list, there is an option to switch to Salesforce Classic. Click on it.

After clicking on the switch to the Salesforce Classic option, the Salesforce Classic edition is open and you can see that lots of objects are present on the nav bar. Here we select the Contacts object.

After clicking on the contact object, the contact page is open. Here we can see that lots of contacts are present, select one of the contacts and here we are selecting Jaskolski Jr. Dr. contact.

2: After clicking on the  Jaskoski Jr. Dr. Rosalyn contact, the Jaskoski Jr. Dr. Rosalyn contact page is open. Now scroll to the bottom of the page there is an activity history section under this activity history section log a call is created, we can also edit this and create a follow-up task of log a call.

3: After clicking on the edit button, the task call page is open. Here we can see the task information fields are present and some of the task information fields are already filled is but now we want to create the follow-up task. First fill the Assigned to field and then select the status after that select the subject and then fill the Name.

Now fill the due date after that fill the related to field and then fill the priority after filling all the information click on the save button that is present at the bottom of the follow-up page.

After creating the follow-up task, click on the save button that is present at the top of the page near the save and new task buttons.

After clicking on the save button, the follow-up task is saved and we can see the log a call comment under this open activities section is edited.
