While working with an organization that uses Salesforce, I got a task where I needed to change the priority of logging a call in Salesforce. To fulfill this requirement I use the activity component and in this Log A Call is present under the activities component. This activity component is present under the objects like contacts, leads, etc.
So after looking at the multiple solutions, I found a solution that helped me to change the priority of logging a call in Salesforce Lightning as well as Salesforce Classic, you have come to the right place.
How to change the priority of log a call in Salesforce Lightning
Here we are changing the priority of logging a call in Salesforce Lightning. When we think to log a call the first thing that comes to our mind is a Phone call but it’s not a phone call it refers to a communication that had been held between the users.
The communication might be an email, a task, or a call. When we click on the Log A Call a record task is created with the active status and here we want to change the created Log A Call priority by simply clicking on the change priority button.

Step-1: Login into the Salesforce account, and go to the App Launcher. Click on the App Launcher and enter the Sales in the search box, the sales option comes at the top. Click on it.

Step-2: After clicking on the sales, the sales page is open and under this sales page lots of objects are present on the nav bar. Here we select the Contacts object.

Step-3: After selecting the contact object the contact’s recently viewed object page is open.
Here we can see that lots of contacts are present, select one of the contacts and here we are selecting Dr. Rosalyn Jaskolski JR. contact.

Step-4: After clicking on the Dr Rosalyn Jaskolski Jr. contact, Dr. Rosalyn Jaskolski JR. page is open. Here we can see that the log a call is created that is present under the activity component and we want to change the priority of this contact.
For changing the date from this log a call, click on the drop-down arrow of the call. After clicking on the drop-down arrow the drop-down list is open under this list there are lots of options present. Click on the Change Priority option.

Step-5: After clicking on the Change Priority option, the change priority dialogue box is open. Here we can see our priority is set to normal but now we want to change this priority. So first we click on the drop-down arrow of the priority field.

Step-6: After clicking on the drop-down arrow you can see the drop-down list id open. Under this drop-down list, there are three options. The first one is High, the second one is Normal, and the third one is Low.
Here we are choosing the priority as High after selecting the priority click on the save button that is present at the bottom of the dialogue box.

Step-7: After clicking on the save button, the pop-up msg is coming at the top that the task call was saved and the priority is changed, and the red flag shows that the priority is high and this log a call is present under the activity component.

Here we are changing the priority of logging a call in Salesforce Classic. If you want to learn how to change the priority of log a call in Salesforce Classic follow these steps:
1: First log in to the Salesforce account, when we log in to the account the Salesforce lightning edition is open. Moving to Salesforce Classic, click on the Profile picture. The Profile picture drop-down list is open. Under this profile picture list, there is an option to switch to Salesforce Classic. Click on it.
After clicking on the switch to the Salesforce Classic option, the Salesforce Classic edition is open and you can see that lots of objects are present on the nav bar. Here we select the Contacts object.

2: After clicking on the contact object, the contact page is open. Here we can see that lots of contacts are present, select one of the contacts and here we are selecting Fadel. Dr. Florian’s contact.

3: After clicking on the Fadel. Dr. Florian’s contact, the Fadel. Dr. Florian’s contact page is open. Now scroll to the bottom of the page there is an activity history section under this activity history section log a call is created, we can also edit this and change the priority of the log a call.

4: After clicking on the edit button, the task call page is open. Here we can see the priority field is present and the priority field is already selected as normal but now we want to change this priority. We change the normal priority to the high priority.

5: After selecting the priority from normal to high, click on the save button that is present at the top of the page near the save and new task buttons.
