In Salesforce, we have a Picklist (Multi-Select) field which consists of multiple values and during the regular updates and customizations we often add or remove values in Picklist (Multi-Select) field and to remove these values from Picklist (Multi-Select) field we deactivate them.
A Deactivated value will be there in the list of Inactive Values and from there we can again pick those values and reactivate them. We will discuss the activation of a deactivated value of a Picklist (Multi-Select) field in Salesforce with the help of an example ahead.
Activate a Deactivated value of a Picklist (Multi-Select) field in Salesforce Lightning
To Activate a Deactivated value of a Picklist (Multi-Select) field in Salesforce Lightning, first log in to your Salesforce account and follow the below steps.
Step 1- On the Setup page of Salesforce Lightning, click on the tab Object Manager.

Step 2- In the Object Manager setup we will select the object with an existing Picklist (Multi-Select) field. In this case, I have an existing Picklist (Multi-Select) field in the object Opportunity. So, we will select the Opportunity object.

Step 3- In this window, go to the Details section in the left sidebar and click on Fields and Relationships.

Step 4- In the Fields and Relationships, select the Picklist (multi-select) field with a deactivated Picklist (multi-select)value. In this case, I have a deactivated Picklist (multi-select) value in the Picklist (multi-select) field New leads.

Step 3- In this step, scroll down and go to the Inactive Values Section. Here you will see the Deactivated Picklist (multi-select) value. In this case, I have a deactivated value ” Ohio Enterprises”. Now to reactivate this deactivated Picklist (multi-select) value click on the Activate button as shown in the below picture.

On clicking Activate, the deactivated Picklist (multi-select) value will get activated and we can see in the below picture that the reactivated value is now in the list of Values.

Now we have successfully Reactivated a Deactivated Picklist (multi-select) value in Salesforce Lightning.

Activate a Deactivated value of a Picklist (Multi-Select) field in Salesforce Classic
To Activate a Deactivated value of a Picklist (Multi-Select) field in Salesforce Classic, first log in to your Salesforce account and follow the below steps.
Step 1- If you are in the Salesforce Lighting mode, then to switch to Salesforce Classic you have to click on the user profile image as shown below picture and then click on Switch to Salesforce Classic.

Step 2- On the home screen of Salesforce Classic, click on the Setup tab as shown in the below picture.

Step 3- In the Setup window, go to the Build section and there click on Customize dropdown. Now select the object having a deactivated value of a Picklist (multi-select) field. In this case, I have a deactivated value in the object Products. After selecting the object, click on Fields.

Step 4- In the Fields, go to the Custom Fields and Relationships and from there select the existing Picklist (Multi-Select) field. In this case, I have an existing Picklist (Multi-Select) field “New Car Products”.

Step 5- In this step, scroll down to the Inactive Values section, there you will see the deactivated value of the Picklist (Multi-Select) field. Now click on the Activate button of the value you have to activate as shown in the below picture.

As we click on Activate, the deactivated Picklist (Multi-Select) value will be reactivated. In the Values section, you can view the reactivated value.

Now we have successfully activated a deactivated value of the Picklist (Multi-Select) field in Salesforce Classic.
